I think that article was very intersting. It is very sad that girls have to disguise themselves as boys. The girls in afghanistan shouldn't have to disuise themselves just to get equal rights.
That's a remarkable story. It really makes me appreciate what I have here in the US. I think it's extremely unjust for women and girls to have to go through that. I feel bad for everyone who had to experience not just dressing up as something they're not but acting like it too.
That is really horrendous! Imagine having to "be a boy" for your whole life, and then all of a sudden... you have to be a mother and a wife... that must be awfully difficult to transfer like that...
On the other hand, I have never known that about Afghanistan! I HAVE heard about girls pretending to be boys, but like this? WOW!
I think thats very sad that girls dress up as boys for equal rights. And they do it for years? That terrible ( terribly sad ) I never thought of Afghanistan to be so terrible I feel so bad for the girls that do that Their lives are horrible ( I'm guessing ) It's sad because girls shouldn't need to dress up as boys for the same rights, they should be their own self in their heart and how they dress to have the same rights.
WOW! This arctical blowed my mind its beyond wrong that girls have to disguise themselfs as boys to have fair rights. Imagine us having to be dressed as a boy because if we don't we can't walk outside of our houses!? It makes me think how lucky and fourtinate we are to have fair rights through out the country!! I have shared this with all my family members and talked about why this is so wrong! WOW as i say again.... I hope things will change!!
When I first heard the title I was a little confused. I get it now and I think it is great these girls are brave enough to pretend like a boy. it is too bad these girls don't get the same rights as boys. I hope one day this will change.
Wow. It's amazing how different our country is from theirs. I mean, girls have pretend they are boys while going out for a stroll around town. Going to school isn't an option unless you are a boy. Even going outside would be considered odd for a girl to do. Our country on the other hand, lets girls do whatever they want-- to a certain degree. I can't imagine how those girls must be feeling. Not letting their emotions side track who they are "supposed" to be. I feel extremely horrible for those girls who have to live most of their lives like that. Then people expect them to be women with manners and be a wonderful cook. It's just..... depressing. To sum everything up, let me put it this way: Males and females are equal as one.
Wow, this is so so sad. I never knew that girls had to do that to have the same equal rights as boys. I feel extremely lucky to be in a place where both boys and girls have the same rights. Thanks for that great article!
The fact that girls dress up as boys is very sad. It represses a girl's ability to be free to express themselves as girls. Girls in Afghanistan should not have to disguise themselves to get what every kid gets in America; an education. I can't imagine having to pretend to be someone I'm not. At this day and age, everyone should have freedom to make choices and be able to have basic human rights.
USA is really different from Afghanistan! Here, boys and girls, men and women, they are all treated as one. As an Afghan girl, if you want a good education and good rights, there are only a few ways to go- stay at home and home and follow the rules, meanwhile, you are illiterate. Or you could just barge through and get yourself hurt or killed trying to go to school or go outside. Or, you could dress as a boy, changing who you are, being who you aren't. That is, again, horrendous! Girls rights must change in Afghanistan! MUST!
Well, since I'm a day late on this assignment. (Sorry I had a headache. I wrote this poem for this article (Kind of short but stay w/ me people)

It is unfair for girls that they don't get to go to school, but it is smart to dress up like a man.
